8 to 120; 1903 to 2010

The following chart was created by Steven Von Worley to represent the color evolution that Crayola Crayons have taken over the years. Such variety now compared to 1903.

I love the smell of crayons. I know that sounds weird, but it's a comforting smell to me.

Do you like the smell of crayons?

I personally don't like the smell of crayons, but I do know what it's like to have a comforting smell in an odd thing.

One of my favorite smells from childhood is the smell of a fresh box of crayons. It has to be fresh! The old ones don't smell the same. I loved those bright colors standing in their places. I smelled a box just recently, though, and I think they've changed the formula for Crayola crayons because they don't smell the same. Probably something to do with the legalities of producing child-safe products.
