The funny thing is that my sister and her roommates did this when she was at the local college a few years ago. Mostly it was all for fun, but the IMming (she said) made everything a lot more funny...
this is SO SO true! when i was in college, my roommate would message me and i refused to write back, i'd walk the 5 steps to her room to answer her! so funny, great post!
I kind of agree. The more comfortable we get with faceless communication, the less comfortable we get with face to face, although I love my tech gadgets lol.

TRUE STORY.
And I know what Teachinfourth is saying too - some people really are funnier in writing than in reality!
I hope I'm not one of them...

P.S.- love that human calendar app.
So true!! I am guilty of IM'ing while in the same room. But its more of a fun thing, than a serious-I'm-lazy thing.
PS- I'm visiting from mingle Monday. Thanks for following!
Thanks for your comments, everybody!
Teachinfourth- I used to facebook chat with my roommate when we were sitting across from each other. It does seem to make things funnier, strangely.
ag.- Good for you!
Uptown Girl- I hope I'm not one of them either.
LaNeshe- So true. Computers/Im'ing make things so easy but we lose that face to face contact.
Lisa- Same here, but I sometimes will call one of my roommates to ask a question rather than getting up to talk with them. That is lazy- shame on me!
