Seasons change

Image via

Tomorrow is the first day of September and it hit me, that summer, with all its delicious fruit, greenness, flowers, and sun-soaked days, is almost over (in 23 days). With every sunset the change grows closer.

But, the change also brings a feeling of newness. A new season to embrace. A new sense of purpose. A (re)newed feeling of thankfulness.

There are more summer things I wished I blogged about, but it's almost too late now. I'm looking forward to autumn, with her sun dappled days and the falling of leaves and chilly autumn nights.

Summer is closing soon and there is not a single thing I can do about it, except enjoy the change.

What is your favorite part about the change of seasons?

Tomatoes. Eggplant. Shifting light. The world changing colors. The air—it smells, feels, sounds altered. Sleeping under a quilt. Breaking out the first wool sweater. Nostalgia. Hiking later in the morning without suffering. Tomatoes. Eggplant.

Fall is my favorite (unless we are in spring). I love the school supplies and walk down those isles even when I don't need anything.

I love the cool air that welcomes the fall. I just moved to a horribly hot area and I can't wait for cooler weather! I love the way you wrote about this. Beautifully said.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Be sure to read all 3 books if you're going to read Hunger Games. It won't make much sense if you don't. :) I really did enjoy them.

Tort. Soup, leaves changing, and aisles of the stores stocked with Halloween stuff.

Love Halloween.
