Goodbye my friend, Vancouver Winter Olympics. I will miss you, but I'll see you again in four years in Sochi, Russia. (Hopefully with Apolo included!)

(Apparently I am not allowed to post interviews with Athletes or Olympic competitions on my blog. NBC only allowed me to choose from certain videos that I could post).

So because I can't post any interviews of performances I will post some of the most Memorable Olympic moments (in my opinion):

In no particular order...

1. The historic U.S. four man Bobsled Gold.

2. Apolo Anton Ohno winning two Bronze medals and a Silver for a total of 8 medals--the most in U.S. history for a Winter Olympian.

3. Evan Lysacek winning Gold for figure skating and the first gold for Frank Carroll, his coach.

4. Joannie Rochette's figure skating performance winning Bronze despite the death of her mother the Sunday before.

5. Bode Miller winning Gold medal in the Men's Super-Combined Alpine skiing (and Silver and Bronze in Super-G and Men's Downhill).

6. Kim Yu-Na winning Gold in the ladies' figure skating event.

7. The Canadian Men's Hockey victory for Gold. (Even though I was cheering for the U.S.!)

8. Lindsey Vonn's Gold in Women's downhill skiing.

9. Shaun White's Gold in halfpipe.

10. Alexandre Bilodeau's Gold medal in Men's Moguls Freestyle skiing.

Last Olympic Post (Maybe)

I must remember to breathe while watching the Olympics.

Standing right in front of the TV and cheering and jumping up and down seems to best help for the athletes, especially for Apolo.

I can't believe the Olympics are almost over. It makes me sad.

I love the sounds short track skating.

And hockey.

And National Anthems being played. And sung.

What are the rules for curling? And why exactly is it considered an Olympic sport? Please give insight if you have it...because to me, it's just sweeping ice.

What I have loved:

The Speed Skating (short track version), especially Apolo Ohno. Winter Olympic athlete with the most medals! Go Apolo! (I like what Jimmy Kimmel said: "Dear Apolo Ohno- thank you for being to frozen water what Michael Phelps is to regular water"!)

Figure skating--especially Evan Lysacek. Go Evan! Go Kim Yu-Na!

Michael Buble singing--considering he's Canadian and all.

Glued

I'm glued to the tv.

I've decided the Olympics are addictive like chocolate with nuts. I just can't get enough of these games.

I love the Olympics. I mean, I really love the Olympics.

I also wish I was there to witness them in person.

Also, I've decided that he is my pretend short track speedskating boyfriend.


And he is my pretend figure skating boyfriend. And gold medalist!

Do you know where Tunisia is located? I didn't before yesterday. One of the swimmers, Oussama Mellouli, won the first gold medal for his country in the 1,500 meter freestyle. I love watching the Olympics!! There is such a feeling of unity when athletes from all over the world come together and compete. It is so wonderful cheering for the underdog and hoping they win, and then when they do or anyone else, watching them tear up when the national anthem is played during the medal ceremonies. It is so cool that Michael Phelps won 8 gold medals. Go him! He just kept swimming, just kept swimming, just kept swimming. (from Finding Nemo). Diving, swimming, and running are my favorites to watch. U-S-A, U-S-A!

My parents celebrated their 34th wedding anniversary this month. I'm so happy they found each other and for their love and patience with me over the years. They are the best parents and I'm glad they are mine! Here's to 34 more years!

Craigslist is the best. I decided to buy a car yesterday. It has 246,000 miles and it's 19 years old but it's $800 dollars. I'm picking it up and paying for it tomorrow. Yippee! Now for the job...
