Happy 101

Lately I've been feeling blah about my blog. My life is pretty boring. I assume the people who read my blog don't really want to hear about my life and I don't really have the energy to write about other things. So, I post a movie clip or a quote every once in a while and call it good. I guess I just need new writing topics...

Anyway, last week I got a comment from my mom, (she has a geneaology blog, which I adore! If you haven't checked it out, you should: My Ancestors and Me) saying that she had chosen my blog for the Happy 101 Award. Part of the deal is that I write 10 things that make me happy and then give the award to ten other people.

Here goes...

10 things that make me happy:
1. Spending time with my family
2. Sleep, wonderful sleep
3. Worshiping in the temple
4. Freshly baked bread with real butter
5. Riding my bike on a summer day
6. Swinging on the swings in a playground
7. Sabbath days of rest
8. Watching movies
9. Laughing
10. Accomplishing a goal
(and even though I'm not supposed to put this in...11. Baking!)

Here are the 10 other blogs I chose for the award:

i am laura
wanderings of life's dance
Farmer Freitas' Wife
disoveRing taRa
The Everlasting Hill's
Welcome to My World
The Times of Stephanie
Our Little Colony of Beas
Olivia Saves the Day
Split Ends and New Beginnings

By the way, I love

Thanks, and I am going to zenni optical right now to check that out.

Sorry you feel that way about your blog right now. I certainly have lately too. I feel like the only people that care are my mother and mother in law and I talk to them on the phone like every day so sometimes I feel like I am just repeating myself when I tell them things.

Maybe you should just blog about fictitious things and get people talking. I know one girl who was single blogged about this guy she was madly in love with, but he never noticed her. Turns out it was all fictitious in the end, but she was such a good writer that she had all the reader on edge wanting to know what would happen next and if she would really get the boy. It was funny.

i, personally, love hearing about your life, with or without songs. i'm sorry that "i'm not that girl" is your theme song right now, that was mine for a time as well. the way she sings it is just so heartwrenching, you can't help but feel (and relate) to her pain. hopefully your time for having this song as yours will be as short lived as mine was.

and yay for happy 101! i'll definitely have to do this on my blog now. you rock, natasha!!

I love this Happy 101 thing. I will for sure do it. I think it is so great to know what makes other people happy. Not to mention, knowing what makes ourselves happy. I appreciate the challenge. My blog could use some help!
