Karma Cards Giveaway

I was having a pretty bad day. No, make that a pretty bad week. I cried today and yesterday and the day before. I'm a mess right now. Struggling with some things and trying to work through them.

Anyway, I was looking through my Google reader hoping for something to cheer me up a little bit and came across this blog where the author is giving away Karma Cards. Have you heard of them? No? Neither had I. Well, they are cards with inspirational photos on them and a short inspirational message. The point is to leave the cards in a spot where someone else would find them and be cheered up by them. Say, for example, in a book at the library, on a seat in the bus or in a lecture hall, under someone's car wiper, or any place you want.

Oh, Mishka got the idea from Yes and Yes who came up with the idea.

So, one lucky reader from Oh, Mishka will receive 15 Karma Cards of their very own! Just go here to enter. Or, if you can't wait, you can print off Karma Cards by yourself, here.

And, yes, I felt a little cheered up.

I'm glad you were cheered up. Sorry you have been sad...that makes me sad too.

Question: What if someone finds that card, "You are doing everything right." and they aren't? Like they're a totally horrible person that does horrible things? Not to put a damper on the idea...I love the idea...but, what if that happened!?!? What a waste of a cool card! And talk about confusion for them. Ha! Maybe it would snap them out of their crudy life?

Nie Nie also used to do something similar with her kids. They would take slips of paper and write fortunes on them like, "God loves you!" or "You have a great smile!" and they would leave them places downtown. I thought that was a cute idea too.

Anyway. I hope you stay cheered!

Yup, I was wondering the same thing. Maybe you're right, it would be that push for them to get back on the right track...?
