Happy birthday!
Malachi had his third birthday earlier this month. Three! He is three now! How is that possible?!
We celebrated at a family reunion in Colorado. (Jesse's sister's birthday is on the same day). We made him a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and three candles. I think he was a little bit overwhelmed by all his cousins and other relatives, but he blew out all three candles at once!
We sure love our Mali cat!
Here are some things about Mali at three years old:
- He is the best helper! Whether it's helping me in the kitchen- (washing dishes, baking, cooking) or helping with whatever Jesse is doing he loves to be with us watching and learning and helping.
-Mali is very observant. He remembers names of people even when I thought he wasn't paying attention.
-he has a great imagination!
-He is a great big brother and is always asking about Olivia if he doesn't see her.
We are so grateful to have him in our family and we sure love him to bits.
I have pictures but can't figure out how to get them off my iPhone....

Conversations with my children (mostly M)
Mali: Daddy, what dey (they) are doing?
Mali: Daddy you make me yaff! (Laugh)
A few weeks ago I noticed Mali had some bruises on his leg. I asked him about them...
Me: Mali, where did these bruises come from?
Mali: From da boys.
Me: The boys? What boys?
Mali: Da boys in nursey (nursery).
Later that night as Jesse was putting Mali to bed he asked to take some boys with him. Jesse came out and told me that he asked for boys and we realized he meant toys!
Mali: Mommy do you make me yaff?
Me: I do. Do you make me laugh?
Mali: Yes!
Mali: (As we got into the car...) Mommy it is hot in here. Turn on dee abc. (Turn on the A/C!)
Mali: Mom tickle my belwe! (Belly)
I don't have hiccups Mommy. I yust have burpies.
I yike to dance Mommy!
I yike to make Youie yaff!
I was working on something in the bathroom and couldn't get it fixed. Mali comes in...
Mali: Mommy what are you doing?
Me: Trying to fix this.
Mali: Yust let daddy do it when he tums home. Daddy will have to fix it.
When anybody gives him something...he says: Sank you. And when he really wants me to do something he will add "pease".
I can't believe Mali will be three in less than two weeks. Time is going so fast, it is unbelievable. I sure love him (and Olivia) and am so grateful to be their mother.
