Three! He is three now! How is that possible?!

We celebrated at a family reunion in Colorado. (Jesse's sister's birthday is on the same day). We made him a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and three candles. I think he was a little bit overwhelmed by all his cousins and other relatives, but he blew out all three candles at once!

We sure love our Mali cat!

Here are some things about Mali at three years old:

- He is the best helper! Whether it's helping me in the kitchen- (washing dishes, baking, cooking) or helping with whatever Jesse is doing he loves to be with us watching and learning and helping.

-Mali is very observant. He remembers names of people even when I thought he wasn't paying attention.

-he has a great imagination!

-He is a great big brother and is always asking about Olivia if he doesn't see her.

We are so grateful to have him in our family and we sure love him to bits.

I have pictures but can't figure out how to get them off my iPhone....
Mali: From da boys.
Me: The boys? What boys?
Mali: Da boys in nursey (nursery).

Later that night as Jesse was putting Mali to bed he asked to take some boys with him. Jesse came out and told me that he asked for boys and we realized he meant toys!

Mali: Mommy do you make me yaff?
Me: I do. Do you make me laugh?
Mali: Yes!
Mali: Yust let daddy do it when he tums home. Daddy will have to fix it.

When anybody gives him something...he says: Sank you. And when he really wants me to do something he will add "pease".

I've been working on being a better mother lately.

I've often wondered what my children's first memories will be...and so I've been trying to be a mother that plays, a mother that listens, a mother who is more attentive, a mother who is more responsive. I don't want my children's first memories to be of me frustrated with them or upset over something that they did.

My daughter currently has an ear infection and she needs to take antibiotics. She hates taking the medicine and screams every time I try to give it to her. It is a struggle every time. Part of me wants to stop giving it to her because it makes her so upset, but I know that even though she hates it now, in the the long run it will hopefully make her feel better. After the medicine is done I take Olivia in my arms and comfort her. I don't like to see my children suffer but I know that certain things are for their good even though at the time it is uncomfortable or miserable. It gives me an insight into our Heavenly Father's love. He watches as we go through certain trials in our lives. How grateful I am for His love and how much I still have to learn from Him.

My babies are growing up so fast.

Malachi is in such a wonderful stage of toddler-hood. He is talking (getting a new word almost every day), learning, exploring, imagining. It is so fun to see his mind at work. And I get to witness it every day. I feel so blessed to be able to stay home with my children (even though finances are so tight). I can't imagine having them in day care and missing all the new growth that happens every day (even though I know some families need to have children in day care...). He loves music. If we happen to have the television on and there is music, he will stop what he is doing to look and listen. He doesn't care about the t.v. otherwise (which makes me happy!). Oh, how I love him.

Olivia is in such a fun stage of babyhood. She is starting to sit up on her own. She is interested in everything(!) around her and wants to be involved with playing with Malachi, even though she still needs help. She loves standing and will lock her knees if I try to have her sit when she doesn't want to. Or she will stick her bum out, arch her back, and lock her knees so I can't have her sit. She is constantly "talking" and grunting and my family thinks she is trying to go to the bathroom, which she isn't, she just likes making lots of noise. If things are going on around her she wants to be involved. She doesn't like being left out of anything. She sleeps through the night, sometimes going 8 hours without eating. The smiles! Oh, how she smiles. When she is happy she is really happy and when she is sad, watch out because she is really sad. She will stick out her little lower lip in the cutest, saddest pout and cry. Boy, can my girl cry! She also laughs! Mostly she laughs at Malachi playing with her. It is so cute.

All of this growth makes me realize how blessed I am to be their mother. I (and Jesse) have the wonderful opportunity to be there to teach, nurture, discipline, and love. I love them so much that some days it hurts and I don't even understand how I could even love them so deeply. I watch them play and realize that I have the sacred responsibility of teaching them and raising them. I'm afraid of failing them, of not being the mother that Heavenly Father wants me to be and my children need me to be. I am very hard on my self sometimes when it comes to motherhood. I often compare myself to other mothers and feel like I am lacking and not quite measuring up. When both my babies are crying and both want to be held at the same time, but not together on my lap, I often lose my temper and get frustrated with them-- it is times like those that I feel lacking. Like I disappoint my children. I don't want them to remember me like that, so I strive to do better, to apologize when that happens.

I pray so earnestly that I will live up to this sacred
responsibility of motherhood. As I watch my children I often wish I could freeze time
by scooping them up, running away, and never letting them grow up, but I know growth is part of the plan and so I try to do the best I can to make the most of the hands-on time I have been given with them. "Time flies on wings on lightening" and all too soon,
my children will be youth, teenagers, and then adults and my son and
daughter will no longer be under my direct care. I want to teach them and love them and help them grow.

I know I will never be the "perfect" mother, but I hope with Heavenly Father's help I will be the best mother I can be for my children. I hope my children know, despite my imperfectness as a mother, that I love them. That at the end of the day, month, or year that I love them. That I will never stop loving them. That is my wish.
Olivia's little "hat". We put that over her to shade her eyes from the light, but she started smiling so I took a photo. (Two months and two days old). Olivia started smiling around 7 weeks old. She also started following us with her eyes that week as well.

For the first two months of her life Olivia was super fussy since she had thrush and a really bad diaper rash as a result. Plus she had the blocked tear ducts. She was miserable and cried a lot. Life has gotten a lot better now. We switched diaper brands and finally got rid of the thrush and the antibiotics (which were making her stomach upset) moved out of her system. Her tear ducts are getting better (as I said in an earlier post). She smiles so often now!
This one was taken on January 11, 2013 (the day after Olivia was born). Mali loves playing with the little hammer he has in his hand. I love how inventive he is with toys. I love his profile too- His sweet cheeks and his little chin and hands.
Our sleepy pooks. He loves that down comforter.

Mali at 19 months old. He has very good hand eye coordination- he loves playing with little toys. He has a Thomas the train set that he loves playing with as well as blocks and tools such as a hammer, screwdriver, wrench, etc. He likes to copy whatever Jesse is doing!
He also has a long attention span- if there is something he likes playing with he will play with it for up to an hour or more.
He doesn't have many words yet, but he does say:
:: da da and dad (for Jesse)
:: hi (every time somebody walks into a room. His face lights up and big "hi!" comes out!)
:: dip dip- he loves to dip his food into "dips" such as milk, yogurt, ketchup, french onion dip, etc.
:: nah nah nah (which is his word for more)
:: baby (referring to Olivia)
:: lub (love)
:: Pop pop (our cat, Popeye)
:: Hannah (my parent's dog)
:: He doesn't say mom or ma ma (he used to until I weaned him). :(

I love our sweet Pooks and I'm so grateful to be his mother.Natasha and Jessehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16454014270247663146noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9011717716886645174.post-86295256238439613422014-04-12T22:42:00.000-04:002014-04-12T22:42:19.275-04:00Mali and Olivia

A hint of a smile... Olivia had blocked tear ducts when she was born and as a result her eyes were constantly watering and goopy. I tried as best I could to keep her eyes clean, but she developed a rash to the side of her right eye from the tears always sitting there. The duct in that eye has since opened (thankfully!) and the rash is gone. I can tell she feels a lot better. Her left eye is still blocked, but I'm massaging it so hopefully it will open soon.

Back when Mali was 6 months old I started teaching him some sign language. One of the signs I taught him was the sign for "more"- it has now become his favorite sign. Here he is giving the more sign. When he does the sign he makes a sound "nah nah nah", which is his "word" for more. In this photo he is saying "more" and also signing it. So cute!

I can't believe how blessed I am to be the mother of these two sweet children and to call them my own. They are growing up so quickly- Mali is 22 months old today and Olivia turned three months old two days ago (on the 10th). I love how Mali places both of his hands on each of my cheeks and turns my face to his so he can give me a kiss. I love the smiles I get from Olivia when she wakes up from her naps. I love them to the moon and back...times eternity. Natasha and Jessehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16454014270247663146noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9011717716886645174.post-89333870620559920432014-04-12T15:11:00.003-04:002014-04-14T03:37:52.840-04:00Sick babiesMy babies have been sick the past few weeks. They both had colds for a while and then their runny noses seemed to clear up but they still have the cough now. Night time is especially bad since Mali will wake up coughing, then start crying and Olivia will hear him and she'll start coughing and crying. I had asked the pediatrician if there is anything to give infants for coughing and they said there wasn't, but suggested I use honey for Mali. I tried it with him and he would only take maybe a 1/4 tsp- which didn't help at all. I read online that fresh pineapple juice can help with coughs. We bought some and on the nights when he drank some before bed, it seemed to help. I thought the coughing might have something to do with allergies/change in the weather, but the pediatrician said infants/young children don't get allergies....so I guess that's not it!

I am visiting my parents this week and thankfully my mom is willing to rock Olivia if she wakes up during the night so I can get a little rest. Olivia doesn't sleep very well laying flat on her back in the crib, so I put some quilts under the mattress to try and tilt it up and it seems to be helping a little bit. She still wakes up struggling to breath though. Mali has little bags under his eyes he is so tired.

I wish I could do something to help them! I feel so bad when they get sick.Natasha and Jessehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16454014270247663146noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9011717716886645174.post-71382777696970260792014-04-11T01:23:00.000-04:002014-04-11T01:23:17.475-04:00Olivia!

These were taken in January 2014- Mali and my parents and sister went grocery shopping while Jesse and I were in the hospital with Olivia. These were taken at Meijer.
The story goes that my sister wanted to put her sunglasses on Mali and he didn't want to wear them. She said his grandma (my mom) would take a picture of him with them on so he agreed to keep them on and he smiled. Then he wanted to see the picture right away and was just thrilled! Seriously, he's the cutest boy I've ever known, but I know I'm biased.
Mali often falls asleep in the car on the way to anywhere. He fell asleep on this particular trip so my parents and sister transferred him to a grocery cart and he just stayed asleep as they wheeled around!
This was taken at the end of September 2013. Malachi was 15 months old and had just learned to walk about a month earlier. Watch right at the beginning of the video and also at around 1:00 for what I was trying to capture. (Although the rest of the video is fun to watch too just to see him walking). He did the sliding thing several times while we were visiting my parents. I guess he just loved the feeling of the floor on his bare legs! He was so fun to watch!Natasha and Jessehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16454014270247663146noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9011717716886645174.post-79621394607222613982014-04-09T01:29:00.001-04:002014-04-09T15:45:30.650-04:00Photo update! I'm at my parent's house for a few days now and thought I'd take advantage of the internet and try to get some photos updated. I'll be going back several months starting around September, October...(My gosh, Mali was 15 months old then...where does the time go?)
November 2013- Mali loved playing with these little toys that my mom had: little dice and game markers- little wooden cars and people. He mostly liked putting them into and taking them out of different sized prescription bottles. He spent a good 30 to 45 minutes playing with them while we were visiting.
November 2013- When we were visiting my parents over Thanksgiving we went to IKEA and for those who have been to IKEA you know it's a big store! About halfway through, Mali got very tired and since I hadn't brought the stroller we had to lay him in the cart to nap. Thankfully I had the blanket for him to soften the seat.

I love this photo!

She was almost a week past her due date so I was induced. I was in labor for almost 24 hours and ended up pushing for about three and a half hours. They had to use forceps to get her out so she has some bruising on her cheeks/head and I ended up tearing pretty badly. But other than that, it was a successful VBAC! She is a very vocal little girl and definitely not afraid to have her voice be heard!

We are so excited to have little Olivia in our family!!

I am 35 weeks pregnant. Jesse was very obliging since he hates having his photos taken! And yes, that is a maternity shirt and yes, the stretchy part of my pants is showing below my shirt. Not many shirts are actually covering me this pregnancy...but that's okay! I'm growing a baby.
I know I need to update this blog very badly but it's hard when I don't have internet at home and my time at the library is mainly limited to printing off my lesson and running after a very active toddler. Blogging is something that gets put on the back burner and often times I want to write a post but my pregnancy induced brain doesn't have the energy to put a post together. There you have it...the reason for my non-blogging. Not that I really have many readers left anyway, but that doesn't matter since mostly I do this blog for me.

So, for an update (bullet style)...

:: Those of you who are friends with me on Facebook know that we are expecting baby #2! A girl! In early January (as in the first week in January!) I am currently almost 35 weeks pregnant. This time in my pregnancy with Malachi I was already on bed rest and he would be here in about a week. Keeping my fingers crossed that I don't end up on bed rest with baby girl. Although it would be nice to have her early (since I am feeling very pregnant) I understand the importance of letting her grow until 40 weeks.

:: I have been sick for pretty much the last two and a half weeks. It started out as a cold and then progressed to what I though was a sinus infection (although my OB didn't think so and didn't give me antibiotics). Now I think I might have strep throat since it feels like a knife is digging into the right side of my throat every time I swallow (though I haven't had strep throat since I've had my tonsils out about 20 years ago....) Jesse has named my "frog voice" Leroy, since it sounds like I have a frog in my throat when I talk. Honestly I think I'm going to be sick until I have this baby. It's been over two weeks. I should be feeling better, right? Not to complain, but I want to feel better!!

:: My Mali cat is 17 months old! Time is going so fast. And it seems to be going faster every day. I love watching him grow and develop. I especially love watching his mind work as he plays with toys or encounters something new. He is so cute. I just can't help but kiss his cheeks (almost all day long). I know he doesn't like me to do that (all day) because he squirms out of my arms, but I pick him up anyway and smooch away. I am so grateful to Heavenly Father for trusting me with him. I just love him!

:: About two weeks ago we got a kitten (who was named Popeye) from one of Jesse's co-workers and Mali just adores the cat! He will walk-run (mostly a fast walk since he can't actually run yet) after him and try to tickle him (to tickle Mali will rub his fingers together and say tickletickletickletickle!) Mali likes Popeye way more than Popeye likes him. Which is probably how it is with most toddlers and cats, I'm assuming. Mali stays occupied with him for a good while though and I'm thinking it will be good practice for when his sister is here.

:: I'm scared of giving birth this time, ok, I guess not actually scared of giving birth per se, but scared that the birth will be similar to Malachi's. Don't get me wrong, I loved having my sweet Malachi in my arms at the end but the process of getting there did not go well at all for me....
I started having high blood pressure around 33 weeks. Since high blood pressure is a sign of pre-eclampsia, which can become dangerous to mother and baby, my doctor kept a close eye on me and a week later I was admitted to the hospital over Memorial Day 2012. I spent two days in the hospital being monitored and when I was released I was on bed rest until Malachi was born about two weeks later.

A day before Malachi was born I went in for a doctor's appointment where we had an ultrasound and I had blood drawn. The office called later that day and said that as soon as I could I needed to get to the hospital to deliver my baby since my blood work didn't come back well. They said I had elevated liver enzymes which is an indication of HELLP Syndrome. I was terrified. I called Jesse at work and told him what the doctor said and he said he would finish up and be home soon. I cried as I took a shower. When Jesse got home he gave me a blessing and then we left for the hospital.

I had to be induced with Pitocin (since I obviously wasn't ready to give birth on my own). They had the amount up to the highest they could give me and I still wasn't having strong enough contractions. They took me off of it for about three hours overnight so we could get some rest (ha ha) and then they started it again. The contractions still weren't strong enough so about 10 that next morning the doctor came in and broke my water which started the strong contractions. Long story short, I labored for about 24 hours and when it came time to push I gave about three pushes and since I had the fetal monitor on the doctor noticed that as I was pushing, Malachi's heart rate kept dropping. She decided that I needed to have an emergency c-section. I started crying again. Yes, I knew it was best for my baby since his heart rate was dropping, but I had already been through 24 hours of Pitocin induced contractions. I was just ready to have my baby in my arms. They prepped me for the c-section and told me it might be possible he would have to be taken to the NICU. When he was born the doctor said that the cord was across his chest and wrapped over his shoulder which was causing his heart rate to drop when I pushed. Thankfully he didn't have to be taken to the NICU, but it felt like forever before I got to see him.

After I gave birth they had me on Magnesium for 24 hours to prevent me from having a seizure. That ended up making me very nauseous and I threw up. Honestly I felt horrible. I was still so, so swollen and felt groggy from the epidural and still in shock from the emergency c-section and having everything happen so fast at the end.

Anyway, I didn't mean for this to be a birth re-cap, but there it is. That is why I'm scared to giving birth this time. I don't know what "normal" is for a birth. Not that there really is a normal when it comes to birth...but still... I remember talking with Jesse before Malachi was born and asking "what if I go through 24 hours of labor and end up having a c-section anyway??" Maybe I set myself up for it or jinxed myself. I guess I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that I don't end up with pre-eclampsia this pregnancy.

:: I started using homemade laundry detergent about two months ago. I like it. It seems to get the clothes clean and is definitely a lot cheaper than store bought detergents.

:: I'm glad to be home with my family in Columbus for Thanksgiving. Jesse drove up today and surprised me by arriving around 7pm. I had forgotten that the Dean usually lets everybody go home at 12:30pm! Mali and I are happy to have him here!

:: Happy day before Thanksgiving! My baby has such fuzzy hair. After he got his first hair cut on his 14 month birthday (In August) his hair became very hard to control. When he gets a bath at night then sleeps on his wet hair (even after I've combed it) he still wakes up with a head full of fluffy hair. I think it's adorable.

Mali and the penny horse

When my parents came to celebrate my birthday in early September we went to Meijer to look for a carseat for Mali. They have a mechanical horse there where you put in a penny and he starts "galloping" like a horse. We decided to have Mali ride him. He tried testing it by holding onto the reins a little bit then grabbed onto my sister! Overall I don't think he was very impressed with the horse!
He will eat almost any type, but his favorites are bananas and berries. During the summer Jesse would fill up Mali's stroller cup holder with berries and Mali would just munch away, happy as a clam! I love that he loves fruit.
At the end of August my parents came down to visit and we ate lunch at our house. My sister brought a bowl of raspberries and those were the main thing that Mali ate....I'm pretty sure he ate the majority of the bowl! This series of photos reminds me (and my mom) of Little Jack Horner.
(A few weeks before this, Mali experimented in eating food by sticking his finger in it (Cheerios, fruit, etc) and then transferring it to his mouth. He decided to try it again with the raspberry!)
This was taken on Mali's 1st birthday, June 12, 2013 at IKEA. Oh my gosh, I love how happy he is in this photo!!

This was taken on June 19th (one week after his birthday). Mali and my sister's birthdays are one week apart (different years, of course!) so my parents came down to celebrate her birthday as well. We were at a park where we ate lunch.

Mali had a cake on his actual birthday, but sadly my parents and sister weren't able to see him eat it. So I decided to make him another cake and we gave him it to him when my parents came back down for my sister's birthday. (His hair was kind of long and he was kind of sweaty so my sister decided to kind of spike it up!)

"Yum! That was delicious cake! I'm stuffed!" (He didn't eat the whole thing- he had eaten about half of it when I took the rest away because I could just imagine a sugar coma in the making).

My sweet baby! I love him so much! And time really does fly. I can't believe as of this blog post, he is almost 16 months old (in about two weeks).

Hopefully you enjoyed these photos! I will try to post more soon.

Natasha and Jessehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16454014270247663146noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9011717716886645174.post-55740089931480282012013-09-07T15:56:00.000-04:002013-09-07T15:57:09.772-04:00Guess who turned a year old?My sweet baby turned a year old on June 12th. (This post is late!) Oh, my heart! He is growing up so fast it makes me wish I could slow down time.

On his birthday, Malachi's grandparents (my parents) came down and we all went to IKEA to celebrate. He had fun, but didn't nap during the day so he was exhausted by the time we got back home. He opened his presents then he had a mini cake. He wasn't sure what to think of the cake at first- I had to put some frosting to his lips...then he bent his head down and got frosting all over his face! It was so funny. Photos coming soon....

Now at 14 months, Malachi...
:: Has 8 teeth- 4 top and 4 bottom.
:: He has an infectious laugh. He is such a happy <strike>baby</strike> toddler.
:: He loves to give hugs and kisses. Any time I ask for either he willingly obliges!
:: One of his favorite times of the day is when Jesse comes home from work.
:: Is weaned, but still periodically asks to nurse. It makes my heart break to tell him he has to drink cow's milk now.
:: Loves to climb on and off the couch. I've taught him how to climb down safely (feet first) but it still makes my heart jump when he's on the couch.
:: Sometimes takes only one nap during the day.
:: Does really good at taking bites of food and chewing.
:: His favorite foods are cheese (which he could eat all day if I let him), tomatoes, yogurt, cucumbers, and all fruits, especially berries and bananas.
:: He is a walking pro! He started walking about a week before he turned 14 months and he is doing so well! I love the happy look on his face when he's toddling around!
:: He still sleeps with his hands behind his head and his elbows sticking out. I hope he sleeps this way until he's 10.
:: He drinks out of a regular (adult) cup. I tried a cup with a spout (i.e. sippy cup) and he just preferred a regular cup, so that's what we've stuck with.
:: He knows a few words: "ma ma", "da da", "dig", "tickle" (which he says together like, tickletickletickle!), "up" and "yum".
:: He also knows some baby signs: "food/eat", "more", "milk" and "all done". I'm working on a few others with him.
:: He's learned the fun of talking into a fan and hearing his voice get all choppy! It is so cute to watch him.
:: He loves bath time! We're still working on him sitting during baths though.
:: He got his first haircut from Jesse on his 14 month birthday. There was lots of movement (on his part) and bribing (on our part) involved, but it got done. I saved pretty much all his hair...
:: I'm pretty sure he gets tired of me giving his cheeks kisses almost all day long. I just can't help it! They will only be baby cheeks for a little while so I have to get the kisses in while I can.

He is growing up so fast and there is nothing I can do except enjoy every minute! I love my sweet baby! Natasha and Jessehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16454014270247663146noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9011717716886645174.post-15535888788990267382013-05-27T16:00:00.001-04:002013-05-27T16:00:08.248-04:00Fun at Grandma and Grandpa's houseMalachi turned 11 months on May 12th (Mother's Day), so I guess technically he is 11 and a half months and he will turn 12 months on June 12th, but I don't count half months since my baby is growing up too fast as it is.
We came up to my parent's house for Memorial day weekend and have thoroughly enjoyed spending time with them! Malachi sure has grown a lot since they last saw him in February and he has definitely had fun with Grandma and Grandpa.
My sweet sleeping baby napping after church. It's cute because sometimes he naps in just a diaper and puts his hands behind his head like this- we say he is our little beach boy sunning himself. He looks like a little surfer dude with no cares in the world. I love it! Notice his crossed ankles too. :)
There was a toy he wanted and he crawled right over to get it. What
the video doesn't show is the smile and surprise he had on his face once
he lifted his head back up!
My baby is growing up!

And now for some photos...and the video!

In this past month or so...

Malachi is growing and learning and he is oh, so smart!

He celebrated his 8 month birthday on February 12th. He is almost crawling! He hates being on his tummy, but if there is something he wants to reach he will arch his back and roll over and scoot to reach it.

We think he might walk before he crawls.

He is so curious and wants to reach and explore everything that he can.

He learned how to wave in his 7th month! He doesn't wave at everybody yet, but if you're patient he will wave at you.

He gives high fives!

And kisses! Open mouth baby kisses! I love them! :)

He knows how to give the sign for "more" which he uses often. I sometimes peek in on him when he just wakes up from his nap and see him practicing "more" to himself.

He can clap his hands.

He says "mmmm" "mmm" when he is eating.

He's very smart.

He usually wakes up smiley from his naps. It's so wonderful!

His tongue is almost constantly out and he spits sometimes.

He babbles "ohma ohmama" when he wants me and then reaches his arms out towards me. It is the sweetest thing!

He loves books! He has ones that he likes more than others. He learned how to boom from a book and now he booms a lot!

His favorite songs are "The Itsy Bitsy Spider," "Baa Baa Black Sheep" and the nursery rhyme "Humpty Dumpty".

He is very observant. If someone is speaking, he watches them like a hawk and then smiles at them when they are finished.

His pincher grasp is the cutest thing! He is really good at getting food to his mouth but has a harder time letting go of it once his fingers are in his mouth. He has tried to pincher grasp pureed squash to his mouth. It worked...sort of.

On Saturday he pulled the pincher off a crawdad. He's learning young...I guess that's typical boy!

He loves squash! And sweet potatoes and carrots. He is not a fan of plain yogurt (even with sweet potatoes mixed in).

Last Thursday he weighed 17 lbs. 7.4 oz.

He is so ticklish! I walked in the other day to Mali and Jesse playing and Mali was just laughing and laughing as Jesse was tickling his belly.

Last Thursday he was diagnosed with his first ear infection and given antibiotics. We thought he might have RSV, which thankfully he didn't. He is starting to feel better. It is has been a rough winter. It feels like he (and Jesse) has been almost constantly sick.

He is such a joy and such a lovey baby.

Pictures to come soon...
